Being conscious about not relying on the unconscious

Disclaimer: I am not a neuro-scientists or a psychologists! :o)

The basic definitions are:

concious (adj) is being aware of and responding to one’s surroundings.

unconscious (n) is the part of the mind which is inaccessible to the conscious mind but which affects behaviour and emotions.

To be conscious about not relying on the unconscious, all you need to do is to use your brain as a processor more than as a storehouse of facts. Everyone of us to some extent use our brains as a storehouse of facts, and that is not bad at all. The real power is harnessed only by using the brain to process these facts to respond to one’s surroundings rather than to just deliver facts.
