I thank every member of IEEE who supported me in filing the nomination for the position of Vice Chairman (Industry) 2018 of the Madras Section. I’m also happy that my petition has been accepted by the Executive Committee and would be subject to an election from among the members of IEEE Madras Section.
It is my passion for the development of rural and underprivileged in the society that has driven me towards contributing the wealth of my professional and personal experiences to the society.
I have been volunteering a lot of my time towards empowering youth in information and technology. My activities with the help of other like-minded volunteers include seminars, workshops, pep talks, and motivational sessions among students from different schools and colleges. I have also trained graduates and young professionals in technology. Mentor-ship and coaching activities are also part of my volunteering efforts.

My journey with IEEE started in 2015 as a Professional Member. At the first event as a member of IEEE, I was able to on-board the major sponsor (The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and also lead Events Operations for the IEEE WIE ILS 2015 in Chennai.
The second year with IEEE was even more encouraging as I was elevated as a Senior Member. I was invited to various sessions among schools and college students. I was also the Chair of Publicity & Industry Connect in IEEE SS12, 2016 at Coimbatore.
In my third year, I was the Chair of Project Contest and also as a keynote speaker for the IEEE SS12 2017, Hyderabad. 2017 was also special because I was able to inspire many young women from Sri Lanka as the speaker (empowerment track) at the IEEE WIE ILS in Sri Lanka.
